Saturday, 9am - 1pm
You will be assigned to ONE only. It will be the same EVERY week.
For last names beginning with A-L, the pickup day is Saturday. For last names beginning with M-Z the pickup day is Tuesday. Switching days is possible if needed. Please email us once you have signed up to the mailing list.
If TUESDAY is your pickup day, you will receive the newsletter (containing the order form) on FRIDAY.
If SATURDAY is your pickup day, you will receive the newsletter (containing the order form) on MONDAY.
All orders must be paid in full before we harvest and pack them for you. We only accept credit card payments at this time. You may pay by e-gift card, credit card on file or by invoice. When you pay your invoice you will have the option to store your credit card number for future payments.
There are two pickup sites. Select your site on the order form.
Guidelines for picking up at the farm
Parking: There is one parking space immediately on your left next to the Farm Shop porch. You can also park to the right on our driveway. If these spots are full, park straight ahead towards the gate leaving room for others to pull their vehicles out behind yours.
Please remain in your vehicle. We will retrieve your order from the cooler when you arrive.
It is best if we put it onto your back seat or in your trunk (rather than hand it to the driver).
Please do not return any packaging materials that have gone home with you. Sorry, we cannot reuse them at this time.
Guidelines for Picking up in Floyd
Where: 209 N. Locust St. It is next to Carter Bank in a white shed. Park on the street (NOT in the gravel parking lot which is reserved for the owner/business).
Look for signs by the road and the Patchwork Logo on the shed door.
When: You must pickup your order during the designated hours. This is a self-serve pickup site. The walk-in cooler will be turned off after 7 pm.
The combination for the lock on the door is GR0W1. Your order will be packaged and labeled with your name in the walk-in cooler (interior door). If you ordered bread or maple syrup it will be in the vestibule area when you first walk-in. Be sure you have all your items. Please remember to lock the door on your way out.

Ordering and Pick-up
Policies & Procedures
Please note: Specific updates to the Local List order system are available in the newsletter. Please stay up to date and read the newsletter each week.
How to: Order
The newsletter is sent every Monday from roughly February through December. It will include a list of what produce we have available to purchase that week. Use the "Order Here" button for a link to the current order form. Each item is listed with the price per unit (pound, pint, bunch etc.). Select a quantity from the drop down menu, complete the other questions and submit your order to us. You will immediately see an order confirmation and an order total will be emailed to you on Friday before pick-up begins.
The order deadline is Thursday at midnight of the same week. If you are not ordering that week you don't have to let us know. Orders are packed on a “first come, first served” basis and we will reply to let you know if anything you want is out of stock or for substitutions.
Items on the order form are pictured either as a single unit of sale such as a bunch. Items that are sold by weight are pictured as one pound for reference with the option to buy smaller quantities.

How to: Pick-up
Orders can be picked up in the farm shop between 4 pm on Friday and 7 pm on Monday. If something comes up and you will not be able to come to the farm before Monday at 7 pm let us know. We can make a special allowance and hold your order in the main walk-in cooler until you can get here. A general reminder will be sent out on Sunday night for those who haven’t picked up yet.
Come in the front door of the shop and you will see the door to the walk-in cooler. Inside of the walk-in cooler you will find a blue bin or tote bag with your name on it. Please bring your order out of the cooler and use the table to unpack it. Come prepared to repack the contents into bags or boxes that you bring so that we can keep the bins at the farm. Items that we don't store in the walk-in (ie. tomatoes) will be in the Farm Shop on a shelf with your name on it. If you would like to bring any clean pint containers back to us we can reuse them but we cannot reuse plastic bags or rubber bands.
We don't need to be here or know when you are coming. There are two friendly dogs who may greet you.
Please do not park directly in front of the Farm Shop as other customers may be blocked.

How to: Pay
In the shop you will find an envelope with your name on it posted on the wall. It will contain a printed receipt. We take cash, credit cards (if on file) and checks written to Patchwork Family Farm. We cannot make change but also don’t mind running a small balance or credit until your next order. Payment can also be made with an e-Gift Cards from Square (link to purchase is in the newsletter). All envelopes and payments get deposited through the slot in the wall.
Payment must be received for all orders regardless of whether they are picked up or not.
All orders must be paid in full before future orders can be placed. Failure to follow this policy can result in removal from the mailing list.
We aim to make the program as convenient as possible while minimizing the risks to our business. Thank you for your understanding.
You can review these steps in the farm shop when you arrive to pick up. Being on the mailing list has no ordering obligation and you may unsubscribe at any time.
